A new primary school to house students in grades kindergarten through second grade was developed as a response to the district’s need for additional space and a growing demand for special education services. All students begin their education in this facility and move on only when they are proficient in all areas of study mandated by the district's curriculum. Grade houses were developed in a traditional school configuration, but also include common areas for one-on-one, group, and individual instruction and study. The building design provides a warm, nurturing environment that is inviting to young students and sparks their imagination and creativity.
